From Classroom to Studio: Advancing Clay Modeling Education

Clay Modeling Education Reaches a New Milestone BOMI has proudly co-authored a brand-new university textbook on clay modeling in collaboration with Professor Zhang from Jinhua University of Vocational Technology. This textbook marks the first systematic teaching material in China that integrates academic theory, professional modeling techniques, and industrial expertise. It provides students with a comprehensive pathway — from understanding clay properties to mastering essential shaping skills, and eventually to building complete automotive exteriors.

Celebrating the 15th anniversary of publication!

Fifteen years ago, BOMI collaborated with Professor Xu to publish the practical textbook "Automobile Clay Modeling". The structure consists of six chapters and numerous illustrations. The book covers clay tools, clay properties, actual operations of clay models, and the consumables and equipment needed. There are abundant photos of the clay modeling process in the book, capturing each stage of clay modeling behind the scenes. Currently, this book is only available in Chinese version.
